General Information
Raised by a family of eight, Sundacer de Melodia’s temperament is best suited for a loving rider that seeks an athletic trail companion that has heart, stamina, intelligence, and a naturally willing nature to trust his rider and work together as a team.  His gait is extremely comfortable, ulta-smooth, and naturally consistent in various types of terrain.

About Sundancer de Melodia (a.k.a. Bucky)
Bucky received his initial training under the supervision of Barb Preiss, at the La Caballeriza Paso Fino Farm, in Ocala, Florida, when he was younger.  Afterward, he was ridden lightly and then pastured for the past few years with three of our other stallions where he continues to live a very happy and healthy life.  Being 5/8th Puerto Rican, Bucky’s gait is silky smooth, accurate gait is highly inheritable as is his sweet temper, strong work ethics, and endurance.

Standing at 14.2 hands, “Bucky” has the ability to produce dilute colored offspring, like palominos, buckskins, and smokey blacks with size and heart.  The prepotency of Bucky’s legendary bloodlines for a flying largo and silky, smooth gait in various terrains, and gentle temper combined with his ability to produce beautifully colored offspring with heart make him a highly desirable and influential stallion.

About Bucky’s Sire
Standing 14 hands, Sundancer Mako was a beautiful 1/2 Puerto Rican and 1/2 Columbian mahogany bay stallion of excellent disposition, conformation, and naturally smooth gait.  A Reserve National and Reserve Grand National Champion, Sundancer also earned the reputation of being one of the fastest Paso Fino largo stallions in the world.   Sundancer was sired by the legendary Coral LaCE.  Bred by  Alberto Uribe Sierra, Coral LaCE was born in 1964, and was later imported by George LaHood and then purchased by Betty Klein and then lastly, Barb Preiss.  In 1980, Coral was the #1 Top Ten Sire in the breed, but he was on the Top Ten Sire’s list thirteen times during his life, received the high honor of being conducted into the Paso Fino Hall of Fame, and produced tremendous offspring.  La Luz del Sol B/R, Sundancer’s dam, was a line bred El Indo (by the PPR foundation sire, Dulce Sueno) Pure Puerto Rican mare with prepotent genetics that go back to Guamani as well.  It’s no surprise that La Luz de Sol B/R was also a top ten dam.  Sundancer Mako’s prepotency for passing the exceptional gait of his paternal and maternal was amazing.

About Bucky’s Dam
Beautifully refined and naturally gaited, Eve de Vez stands 14.1 hands and is a lovely 3/4 Puerto Rican buckskin mare.  Her dam, Melodia de Vez, was the daughter of the legendary Coral LaCE (mentioned above) and a PR Guamani bred dam.  Melodia was a treasured mare of the Preiss family, and she won Reserve National Champion Performance Schooling Filly and many reserve Florida State Championships.  Eve’s sire, Cantante De Omega, was known for his stamina, size, manners, and accuracy in gait.  Cantane’s dam was known to be an exceptional Puerto Rican mare and her sire, Singer, was Reserve National Grand Champion to Coral LaCE in Performance.  Together, the Coral LaCE and Cantante lines were heavily influential in the quality of Eve’s smooth gait, stamina, and her gentle/willing temper.  Our family loved Eve for her consistent gait, heart, sweet personality, and largo.
